Description
No. 4 Cornhill is a building that likely dates from the 18th century and has been altered over time. The ground floor is finished in stucco, while the upper part is made of brick and has been colourwashed, featuring rusticated quoins. There are two 3-light sash windows on the first floor, which include glazing bars. The shop front has been modified and is framed in wood. To the right of the entrance, there is a blank panel above a passageway. The building has a slate roof. Inside, there are doors with two fielded panels and H hinges, as well as some with strap hinges on lugs. At the rear, there is a cross-beamed door topped with a flat hood supported by shaped brackets. Nos. 2 to 6, along with Nos. 11 and 12, form a group with this building.
