Description

The Stafford Book Shop is an 18th or early 19th century building of three storeys. It has a cream-washed exterior and a hipped slate roof with an ogee bracket eaves cornice. The upper floors have three sash windows with glazing bars. The ground and first floors have three-light sash windows on the outer sides. Fluted pilasters frame the doorcase, which has a flat hood supported on shaped brackets. A rendered plinth is present at the base. The building is part of a group with numbers 2 to 6 and 11 and 12 Cornhill.
