Description

Barclay's Bank is an early to mid-19th century building, situated in a prominent central location within Silver Street. The building has a slate roof, a parapet, and a cornice. It features three sash windows with glazing bars, each with cill corbels and a pedimented casing; the central window has an eared architrave. A fascia board with a cornice is supported by five slender, fluted Doric columns. A round-headed door opening is accentuated by a keystone, and modern windows flank the central door. The right-hand door has a fanlight and four-panelled reveals.
