Description

The Grant headstone, dated 1778, is located approximately 17 metres south-east of the chancel of the Church of St Michael in Otterton. This Grade II listed headstone commemorates Sarah Grant. It is made of limestone and features an upright slab that stands about 60 mm high, with a flat top and rounded corners. The front of the headstone is inscribed with relatively crude Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, marking the death of Sarah Grant in 1778.
