Description

The Whyte headstone, dated 1793, is located approximately 24 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Michael in Otterton. This Grade II listed headstone commemorates Richard Whyte. It is made of limestone and features an upright slab that stands about 600mm high, with a shaped head. The front of the headstone is inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, detailing the death of Richard Whyte in 1793.
