Description
Fairlynch, located on the north side of Fore Street in Budleigh Salterton, is an early 19th-century cottage that now serves as an arts centre and museum. The building features a roughcast exterior and a thatched hipped roof, rising two storeys and comprising three bays. The windows on the upper floor are two-centred arch gothic sashes adorned with intersecting ogee glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are French windows that also display similar tracery. The centre of the first floor features a lozenge-shaped window with diamond and crossed glazing bars. A solid porch with a thatched hipped roof is positioned at the centre of the building. Atop the roof, there is an octagonal lantern with a conical thatched roof and lattice glazing bars.
