Description

School Cottage is a late 18th century to early 19th century building located on the north side of West Street in Shapwick. It features plastered walls with brick dressings, standing on a brick base, and has a thatched roof with brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and includes a timber glazed porch with a gabled tiled roof and a stable door. Both the ground and first floors have two casement windows with glazing bars. At the rear, there is a single-storey brick lean-to under a slate roof.
