Description
No 5 (Cannon Cottage) and No 6 (Sea Cottage) are an early 19th century pair of stuccoed houses that share a single slate hipped roof with overhanging eaves. The buildings are two storeys tall. Cannon Cottage, which faces north, has three bays with a blind window in the centre on the first floor. It features sash windows with glazing bars and a central doorway that is pilastered, topped with an entablature and a moulded round arch, flanked by pilasters, a semi-circular fanlight, and a panelled door. The corners of the building are accentuated with giant pilasters. Sea Cottage, located to the right and facing west, has five bays that alternate with blind round-headed recesses on the first floor. It also has sash windows with glazing bars, with the first-floor windows set within the recesses. There are pilastered doorways with entablatures on the ground floor, located centrally and to the right. Additionally, there is an adjoining three-storey wing to the south, which also has a hipped roof.
