This is a thatched cob barn, dating to 1633, which forms part of a yard wall enclosing two sides of the yard. The barn has new brick end walls. The yard wall is constructed of cob with a thatched coping. The barn and yard wall are part of a group of buildings including the Bowd Inn, Bowd Cottage, and Bowd Farmhouse.
