Description

Pinn Cottage, originally Pinn Farmhouse, dates to 1633, although deeds from 1619 refer to the property. This is an appealing, low two-story cottage constructed of cob, with a thatched roof and end half-dormers. It has a four-window front featuring 19th-century three-light casement windows. A thatched porch is present, and original beams remain visible in several of the rooms. The cottage is situated on a lane to the west of the Bowd Inn, within a hamlet on the north-western boundary of the urban district.
