Range Of Servant'S Accommodation And Stables 9 Metres East Of Nutwell Court

This building is a range of former stables and servants' quarters located 9 metres east of Nutwell Court, likely dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in English bond and features a gabled-end slate roof. The structure is a long, single-depth range for accommodation, with the stables positioned at the north end, which returns towards the west. It stands two storeys high.

The front of the building has a regular nine-window arrangement topped with a crenellated parapet. All windows are square-headed, featuring two lights with stone mullions, surrounds, and hoodmoulds, each with 15 leaded panes. The ground floor includes seven windows and two doors, all under hood moulds. The gable walls have heavy coping with apex pinnacles, and there are axial stacks with triple brick shafts set diagonally, adorned with decorated caps.

On the right-hand end of the range (to the south), there is a single five-light window in the Decorated style, complete with timber slatting and under a hood mould. The rear of the building has only one two-light window. The stables, which form the left-hand end cross-wing, are lower and also feature a crenellated parapet. The south-facing side has a two-light window on the first floor and a door below, both under hood moulds. There are double doors facing west towards the house, featuring a pointed arch and hood mould, with the tympanum displaying a wooden blind arcade and a quatrefoil. The building is currently used for storage.
