Description

Colyton House is a large house located in a walled garden, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with a red brick front and features a hipped slate roof adorned with a modillion cornice. The building has two storeys and a basement, with three bays; the right bay is slightly advanced and has stone quoins. The windows are sash style, fitted with glazing bars and louvred shutters. To the left of the centre, there is a porch supported by columns and an entablature, which includes a glazed and panelled door. A flight of steps with a wrought iron balustrade leads up to the porch.
