Description

Berry House is a large house dating from the early 19th century. It is stuccoed, with a bitumenised slate roof featuring gabled ends and bracketed eaves. The design includes corner pilasters, a rusticated base, and a key pattern above the base course. The house is three storeys high and has three bays. It contains sash windows with glazing bars, and each window is topped with a flat arch featuring voussoirs and keyblocks. The central doorway is round-headed and rusticated, with a semi-circular fanlight above a panelled door. A later 19th-century porch has large square piers and a heavy entablature. The house has end chimney stacks, one of which is topped with a bracketed cap.
