Description

Nos 229 and 231 on High Street are a pair of cottages, likely from the 18th century, that have been altered. They are two stories tall and feature a slate roof. Each cottage has two windows on the first floor, with mullion transom casements and sash windows that have exposed frames and glazing bars. The doorways are linked and have simple pilastered cases. The exterior is plastered, with No 231 being painted, while No 229 has a six-panel door with fielded upper panels. These cottages are part of a group that includes Nos 229 to 259 (odd).
