Description

Church Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located in Huxham. The construction utilizes a mixture of cob and stone, with a stone plinth and a gabled roof covered in Roman clay tiles. Brick stacks are situated at the ends of the building. The cottage is two storeys high and features a three-window front elevation. The upper floor has 2-light and 3-light windows, with a notably small central window. The lower floor has two 3-light windows, with a central porch supported by timber posts and with a pantiled roof. All windows are late 19th-century 2-pane wood casements. The interior was not inspected, but one chamfered beam is visible. The cottage is included on the heritage list for its group value in relation to Huxham Church.
