Description
The Vicarage Cottage is a house that was formerly the stables to the Old Vicarage, built between 1848 and 1851 by St Aubyn. The structure is made of rubble stone and features a steeply pitched slate gabled end roof. There are three large entrance arches that originally served the stables, although two of these have been modified. Above these arches is living accommodation. The rear elevation facing the road has one small 20th-century window and is otherwise solid, dominated by two half-gabled stacks with moulded brick Tudor-style features, one of which has an octagonal pot. There is an original loft opening with a brick surround in the gable end, along with a boarded loft door and a ventilator at the apex. The building is included for its group value with the Church and the Old Vicarage.
