Description
Nos 5 and 6 Louisa Terrace are a pair of houses built between 1830 and 1840. They feature a stuccoed facade with a moulded eaves cornice, a parapet, and a slate roof. The buildings are three storeys high, with a basement and dormers, although the parapet is cut down below the dormers of No 6. Each house has two sash windows, typically with late 19th-century glazing, while the top floor windows have glazing bars and louvred shutters.
No 5 has a side Doric porch, while No 6 has an altered porch. Above each porch, there is one window, with a cornice and blocking course above. No 6 includes a recessed wing with a modern facade, whereas No 5 has a recessed side wing that is two storeys high and features one window with a tiled roof. Both houses have six-panelled doors, with the top four panels of No 5 now glazed and a rectangular fanlight above.
