Description
This early 20th century building has a facade of red brick with a slate roof. It has two windows, three storeys and a basement, with a gabled dormer on one side and a Flemish gable with stone dressings to the other. The Flemish gable contains a fourth-storey window, which is a three-light sash with a roundel above. The brick facade features moulded bands above the first floor and below the gable, where the band is carried around below the blocking course of the three-storey bay window. Wide, bracketed sills are located below the first-floor windows. A round-arched door is topped with a radial fanlight, stucco key, and a brick pediment. The building is distinguished by an elaborate iron handrail to the steps and area railings. The rear elevation retains slate-hung bow features and a round-arched staircase window. The building is included on the list for its contribution to group value.
