Description

Nos 41 and 42 on Church Street are a cottage dating from around the 16th or early 17th century. The building is constructed from white-washed and plastered stone rubble and features a thatched roof with gabled ends. It has one storey and an attic, with a three-window range and two attic gables. The windows include one ovolo moulded wood mullion three-light window, one four-light chamfered wood mullion window, and another window with a heavy moulded frame, although its mullions have been removed. The remaining windows are later casements. There is a plank door on the left side with a chamfered lintel, and a stone chimney stack at the south gable end, which has been heightened in brick.
