The Old Post Office is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century, with some alterations. The left gable is made of rubble stone, while the rest of the building is constructed from whitewashed brick. It features a thatched roof with two brick stacks, one located externally on the left gable and the other to the right of the center front. The cottage is one storey with an attic and has two broad bays. The ground floor has 2-light leaded casements with cambered heads, and the upper floor has 3-light casements in thatch; the left window is from the 19th century and has leaded outer panes, while the right window is from the 20th century. Each bay has a door to the right, with the left-hand bay featuring a boarded door and a timber porch. There is also a small lean-to attached to the left gable.
