Description

This is an early to mid-19th century cottage range located on Church Street, Axmouth. The building is constructed of stone rubble with a tiled roof, featuring gabled ends. It has two storeys and originally contained a four-window range. The windows are C19 two-light casements, although the ground floor windows of number 39 have glazing bars in sash windows. The doors are plank and glazed. Brick chimney stacks rise from the ridge and ends of the roof. A small, single-story wing is attached to the left (north) side of number 39 and features a horizontal sliding sash window with glazing bars.
