Description

This is a cottage dating to around the 16th century. It is built of roughcast-rendered stone with an asbestos slate roof, featuring hipped and half-hipped ends. The front has three windows: C19 casements with one, two, and three lights, and retaining their original glazing bars. The interior features a cross passage. A doorway is located to the right of the centre, with a heavy, chamfered timber doorframe and a cambered arch. A brick ridge chimney stack is centrally positioned. At the rear, there is a single-storey wing constructed of stone rubble. A staircase projection is also visible at the rear. Inside, there is a heavy ceiling beam with a deep chamfer and run-out stops.
