Description

A pair of cottages dating from the mid-19th century, forming part of a row alongside Hares, Haymore Thatch, and Town Dairy Cottages. They are constructed of brick in a Flemish bond, with the brick edges carefully set to imitate gauged brickwork; the roof is covered in pantiles. The cottages have mirror-image plans and end chimneys. The front elevation has a symmetrical appearance with four window bays. Number 2 has a dormer window. The outer window bays are two-storeyed bowed projections, each containing 16-pane hornless sash windows on both floors. The inner bays have blocked windows on the first floor above the front doors. The panelled front doors each have a semi-circular fanlight.
