Description
The garden walls to the north-east of Westbury House date from the mid to late 19th century. They are constructed of high red brick and are overgrown with creepers, consisting of two ranges that meet at right angles. The north wall serves as the rear wall of a former umbrella factory, standing two storeys tall at approximately 15 to 20 feet high. This wall features a brick modillion cornice and a stone coping. To the right, there is a heavily studded door that provides access to the factory and possibly originally led to the Parish Church. Each wall includes a blind stone arched window, contributing to a Gothick aesthetic. The east wall, also around 15 to 20 feet high, screens the former Laverton County Infants School and ramps down to the south, transforming into a 6-foot garden wall.
