Description

The buildings at 17 and 19 Maristow Street date from the early to mid-19th century. They are two storeys high and built of red brick with a pantile roof, featuring a coped stone verge on the right-hand side. The front has five windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor to the right, all with glazing bar sashes and moulded stone flat arches. There are two doorways, now with modern doors but still framed by flat arches, and flanked by mid-19th century shop windows with arcaded lights. Number 19 retains fluted pilaster strips and a modillion cornice to its shop front.
