Description
The tombs in Westbury Churchyard include several notable stone-built table tombs and shaped lump tombs. Among the most significant are two table tombs and a shaped lump tomb located opposite the entrance from Lopes Arms, dating from the early 19th century. One of the table tombs, dedicated to Joel Ford and the Pile family, features corner balusters and is from the 18th century, while the other has skull and crossbones in its end panels. Opposite Church Croft, there are two shaped lump tombs, one of which has a headstone for Mr. Goodman, dated 1839. The Burgess tomb, an early to mid-19th century table tomb with railings, is situated opposite the north transept gable end. Additionally, to the northeast of the chancel, there is a group of four table tombs, two from the 18th century (including one for the Barnes family) and two from the early 19th century (for the Atkins and Taylor families).
