Description

Frampton Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 18th century. A stone tablet above the door bears the initials "JH/1715." The walls are of Flemish bond brick, with dressed limestone to the south wall, and the roof is double Roman tiled, featuring a brick stack to the right gable. The cottage is single-storied with an attic, containing two windows. A central planked door leads into the property, with a three-light chamfered stone mullioned window to the right and a single stone chamfered casement to the left. A raking dormer window to the roof features a three-light casement. A lean-to extension is situated to the left. At the rear, there are two two-light wooden casements. Inside, the cottage has a chamfered ceiling beam with splayed stops and an open fireplace with a chamfered lintel with run-out stops. The first floor includes a timber-framed partition.
