Description
Church Farmhouse is a detached house built in the late 18th century, with the east wing heightened in the 19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a tiled hipped roof with brick stacks, forming an L-plan structure. The front is two stories high with three windows, having been refaced in the 19th century. The central door has six panels, and there are 4-pane sash windows with flat arches on either side. The first floor has three 6-pane sashes and dentilled eaves. The left side has a 20th-century door on the ground floor and a single casement window above. The east wing has flint and brick banding at the ground level, with a planked door to the left and a 3-light casement window under a segmental head. The first floor of this wing is made of English bond brick and has dentilled eaves with one 16-pane sash window. The right side features a tripartite 4-pane sash on the ground floor and a casement window above. The rear has a 20th-century porch and 4-pane sashes, with five sashes on the first floor. The interior is not accessible, but recorded features include chamfered beams with step and concave stops and some reused 17th-century oak panelled doors, with most fittings dating from the 19th century.
