Description

This building, originally known as the Green Parrot Tea Room, dates to the 15th and 16th centuries, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It has a painted brick facade, likely on a timber frame. A moulded band, cornices, and a parapet with stone coping are visible. The roof is covered with pantiles. To the left, there is a single window and a canted bay on the first floor, featuring sash windows with later glazing bars. On the ground floor, a sash window sits beneath the bay, and a modern glazed door replaces the original six-panel door. A plain 19th-century shop front is located to the right, with pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The west-facing gable end and a rear wing demonstrate pebble-dashed timber framing, with the first floor oversailing on long, curved brackets.
