Description

A pair of attached houses dating from the early 19th century, located on The Green in Calne. The houses are constructed from coursed, squared limestone rubble with a central brick stack and a pantile roof. They follow a single-depth plan with two storeys and a two-window frontage. Each house originally featured a round-arched doorway; No. 21 has a six-panel door, while No. 23 has a later 20th-century replacement. The windows are 8/8-pane sashes with stone lintels. The interior of No. 23 has been altered, while No. 21 has not been inspected.
