Description
No. 23 The Green is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refronted in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered limestone rubble and features brick gable stacks, topped with a slate and stone slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan with a 19th-century lean-to in the angle between its wings. It stands two storeys tall and has a two-window range. The central flat-headed doorway is fitted with an 18th-century six-panel door. To the left, there is a canted timber bay window from the mid-19th century, with recessed 8/8-pane sash windows. Additionally, there is a mid-20th-century conservatory. At the rear, a 17th-century rendered wing is visible from Church Street, featuring a one-window gable and a raking dormer. The interior has not been inspected.
