This is a late 18th or early 19th century house, comprising one dwelling. It is three storeys high and built of ashlar, with a pantiled roof and stone chimney stacks at each end. The front has five windows arranged in a 2-1-2 pattern; the central window on the second floor has been blocked. All windows are sash windows, retaining their original glazing bars. Two rectangular wooden doors are set together centrally, each with a roll-moulded surround. The building forms a group with numbers 38 to 49 on the same side of the street.
