Description
The outbuilding is part of a small group forming the east end of a row of cottages, dating to the late 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings, and has stone-tile roofs. There are three windows and two dormers on each property. The dormers have two-light leaded casements, hipped stone-tiled roofs, and tile-hung sides. Other windows are two-light leaded casements, with stone mullions to No. 11. There are two square-headed doorways, one to the left and one to the right of the frontage, each with a wood lattice porch. A similar building exists to the rear of No. 12. To the right of No. 14 are single-storey stone outbuildings in a low range, featuring a coped end-gable and a carriage arch. This outbuilding is part of a group of listed buildings in Church Street, including the Chantry, Little Chantry, Barton Orchard, the Catholic Church of St Thomas More on Market Street, and Nos. 7 and 9 to 19 Barton Orchard, Nos. 5 and 6, and 27 to 31, and a wall in Newtown.
