Description
The churchyard gatepiers and gates located to the east of Holy Trinity Church were built in the 19th century and are constructed from ashlar stone. Each gatepier stands approximately 8 feet high and features plain plinths, Gothic inset panels, and projecting tops with finials. These tops support wrought-iron scrolled brackets that hold a wrought-iron lamp above the entrance gates. The entrance is completed with double wrought-iron gates. These structures are part of a group of listed buildings on Church Street, which includes the Chantry, Little Chantry, Barton Orchard, and the Catholic Church of St Thomas More, among others.
