Description
The former coach house, now a dwelling, and the attached section of garden wall are located in the courtyard to the north-west of Cole Park. The coach house likely dates from the mid-16th century, with a refronting in the late 18th century and a conversion in the 20th century. The garden wall, made of Tudor brick, was probably relocated in the late 18th century. The wall features brick with ashlar coping, while the house has a brick front on the east side and rubble walls at the rear and sides, with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins and a stone slate roof. The two-storey, three-bay house has a central blocked semi-circular coach entrance and casement windows. There is a plank door to the left and another garden doorway to the left that connects to the adjoining garden wall. The garden wall runs for ten metres, stands 1.5 metres high, has a serpentine shape, and features cambered coping.
