Description
The Rookery is a detached house that likely has an early 18th-century core with an early 19th-century addition to the west and further 20th-century extensions. The building features coursed rubble and some brick in the 20th-century parts, with rusticated dressed stone quoins. The west front is colourwashed roughcast, and it has stone dressings, ashlar copings, and stone slate roofs with end ashlar stacks. The house has a T-shaped plan, with the main range at the rear and the west addition running parallel to the road. The two-storey west front has three windows and an advanced central bay. The outer bays have 16-pane sash windows, while the central section has 12-pane sash windows. There is a six-panel door located on the left side wall of the central section. The front also features a moulded cornice and a blocking course at the parapet. The rear range includes three-light casement windows. The interior is not accessible for viewing.
