Description
Manor Farmhouse is a late 18th- and early 19th-century brick farmhouse with a slate roof. It is situated with its main elevation facing the garden. The building is two storeys and comprises three bays by three bays, with a single-storey extension added in the mid-19th century on the south side. The front elevation features a central half-glazed door set within a reeded doorcase framed by a pointed arch with raised key stones and springers. A Tuscan portico provides a porch. To the left of the door is a twelve-pane tripartite sash window, and to the right, a twenty-four-pane sashed French window. The first floor has twelve-pane sashes, all with raised and painted keys. A side entrance facing the road has twelve-pane sashes with Gothic heads on the first floor; the ground floor has been altered, now including a small canted bay. The roof is hipped, with a central brick stack. Group value is considered due to its contribution to the local historical landscape.
