Description

Sharcott Manor House is a house dating from the 18th century with significant alterations in the 1900s. It is constructed of diaper brick with a slate roof. Originally a three-by-three-bay structure, the house has been substantially altered. The garden front features a central door consisting of fielded and six-panelled sections. This is linked by an open timber porch to a canted bay window on the right, which has a moulded sill, a deep fascia, and a blind arch above French doors. A dentilled cornice runs along the top. Other windows are paired 12-paned sashes with blind boxes on the first floor, and finely gauged lintels. Wide eaves incorporate heavy paired brackets. The road-facing elevation is entirely of 1900s brickwork, with the central door replaced by a round-headed opening containing a wheel light. A two-storey bay extends to the rear. The roof is hipped with a single flat-roofed dormer.
