House. C18 with earlier rear wing, altered to a shop early C19. Painted roughcast over limestone rubble, freestone plinth and quoin to the left, double-Roman tile roof with tall brick stack to rear wing. 2-unit plan with rear wing. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Early C19 forward-framed 8/8-pane sash windows to the 1st floor; similar C20 window to the ground-floor right; early C19 shop window to the left with a moulded architrave and C20 glazing; to the right of centre is a C20 door with a chamfered architrave and moulded hood on brackets. INTERIOR: not inspected. HISTORY: this was formerly a Burgage House.
