Description

This is an early to mid-19th century building of three storeys, constructed primarily of red brick. It has a low-pitched gable end slate roof with flat eaves. The second floor features two sash windows, each with four panes. A large, canted bay window, lacking glazing bars and featuring a moulded cornice and panelled apron, is prominent on the first floor. The ground floor incorporates a large, six-pane sash window and a modern door, formerly a six-panel door, set within a plain painted surround with a moulded cornice. The building forms part of a group of almshouses, specifically Frowd’s Almshouses (Nos. 26 to 34, even) and Taylor’s Almshouses.
