Description
This is an 18th and early 19th century building on Bedwin Street. It is two storeys and an attic, constructed of colour-washed brick with a raised plinth and a brick dentil eaves cornice. The roof is of old tiles, featuring one dormer window. The first floor has a shallow, three-light canted bay with a small moulded dentil cornice and a panelled apron, located to the left. A flush-framed sash window is on the right. The ground floor features tripartite sash windows beneath the bay. The front door is of six fielded panels, with a semi-circular radial glazed fanlight set within an arched brick recess. A good contemporary brass knob is present on the door. The rear elevation has two half-hipped gables, also in colour-washed brick, and features two wide, two-light 18th-century casement windows on each floor. The building forms a group with the Royal George Public House and numbers 23 to 45 (odd).
