Description
No. 34 Bedwin Street is a 17th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It features a timber frame that is plastered, with a jettied upper part and a steeply pitched gable end roof covered in old tiles. The front has one window, which consists of 19th-century casements. The entrance boasts an early 19th-century door with four flush panels, set within a reeded architrave doorcase that includes roundel corner blocks. Inside, part of the original roof structure remains intact, showcasing windbraces and purlins on the front pitch of the roof. This building is part of a group that includes Frowd's Almshouses, Nos 26 to 34 (even), and Taylor's Almshouses.
