Rose Cottage with Barn is a house dating from the early 19th century, featuring a painted brick refacing of a late 17th-century timber frame. The building has a slate roof with an axial ridge stack and stands two storeys tall. On the first floor, there is a triple casement window and two pairs of casement windows. The ground floor includes a triple casement window, a door set in a lean-to porch, another triple casement window, and a pair of casement windows. Tiled hoods are present over the ground floor windows, supported by a continuous timber lintel. The north end wall displays square framing, which is now internal. Attached to the north end is a weatherboarded barn addition with a half-hipped gable.
