Description

No. 79 Netherstreet is a late 18th century building that was originally two cottages and is now a house. It is constructed of painted brick and features a Bridgwater tile roof with a ridge stack. The building stands two storeys high and has a raised plinth, a decorative band, and dentil eaves. Each former cottage has a 2-light first floor window with cyma-moulded flush mullions above a door that has a cambered head, flanked by similar mullion windows on either side, all with shallow relieving arches above. The southeast corner of the house is acutely angled, following the line of a stream that has been canalised through the cellar.
