Description
These are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The cottages were originally timber-framed but have been refaced with brick, and have a roof covered with Bridgwater tiles, with stacks at the ridge and ends. The cottages are two storeys high. Number 116 has exposed timber framing in the north gable end, and casement windows paired on each floor. The front of number 116 features a door flanked by casement windows, with a triple casement window on the first floor to the left. A gabled porch is situated between the two cottages, with a narrow door leading to number 118. Number 118 is faced with painted brick on the right and painted rubble stone on the left, with painted brick above. The right side of number 118 has casement windows paired on each floor, while the left side has quoins, a triple casement window above, and two pairs of casement windows below. The south end wall shows rubble stone up to the line of the original roof. The interiors have not been inspected.
