Description
No. 23 High Street is a cottage dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of brick in English garden wall bond and features a thatched roof. The building has two storeys, two bays, and three windows, with a short bay added on the left. The door is located to the right and is heated, with a half-glazed design set within a 20th-century gabled porch. This porch may have replaced a door that was originally on the left, which is now a window. The cottage has timber casement windows, with half brick arches over the ground floor openings. At the rear, there is a single storey and attic with two flush dormers, along with a 20th-century service addition that is of no special interest. An external stack is present in the rebuilt gable wall to the right.
