Description
Rosemary is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 17th century, and likely incorporates framing from an earlier period. It features painted brick in English garden wall bond and has a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high with four bays. A 20th-century boarded door is located to the right, accompanied by a simple flat canopy supported by shaped brackets. The windows are casement style, with those on the ground floor set within segmental headed openings. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear. A Norwich Union fire plate is also present.
Inside, the layout follows a lobby entry plan that may have evolved from a two-bay gable entry cottage. There is a framed wall between the hall and the inner room, with one stop-chamfered spine beam, which is likely a later addition. The interior features a chalkstone fireplace with a timber lintel and a brick stack backing onto the right side.
