Description

No. 17 High Street is a cottage that forms the end of a row and dates from the 17th century. It is built of painted brick and features a jettied and rendered upper floor. The cottage has two storeys and two bays, with a lean-to at the rear and a small gable. A central early 20th-century door is set within a gabled timber porch supported by posts. The windows are timber casements, with three and two lights on the ground floor and small panes on the upper floor. There is a stack on the party wall to the left. Inside, the right bay contains a deep chamfered binder.
