Description

UPAVON CHAPEL LANE SU 15 NW (west side) 2/151 No. 13 (Cave of Adullam) II

Strict and Particular Baptist Chapel. 1838. Rendered brick with slate roof. Simple form with gable to street and shallow gabled porch. Round-headed windows, 1 on north, 2 on south with cast-iron datestone between. Pattern-etched glass. High windows in end gables. Roof half-hipped. Interior has lobby with stair to panelled gallery. A modest chapel unusually set on a narrow triangular piece of land used as a graveyard either side. Later C19 headstones.
