Ashbys is a late 18th-century farmhouse that was originally two cottages, located in Tytherington Village. The building is constructed of rubble stone and features a tiled roof with a half-hip on the left side, along with brick stacks. It is two stories high and has a three-windowed right-hand section with casement windows. The central entrance has a half-glazed door topped by a flat wooden hood with dentils. To the left of the main door, there is a datestone with the initials RL and the year 1771. The first floor has three 3-light casements.
The left cottage has a central planked door with a flat wooden hood and a tripartite sash window to the right. The first floor features a 5-light casement, a 3-light casement, and a blocked window to the left. The left side of the building has a curved corner facing the road, with 4-light leaded casements on the ground floor and a 2-light casement on the first floor. The rear of the building includes a lean-to extension and additional casement windows.
Inside, the property features stairs with two stick balusters, treads with shaped cheeks, turned newels, and an open fireplace with a timber lintel set on brick jambs.
